| TCL Gorporation becomes official Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games partner |
| November 12, 2008 – At the start of the two-year countdown to the Asian Games, the 16th Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) formally announced that the TCL Gorporation will sign a contract to become a partner of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games. TCL will provide equipment and technical support in fields relating to visual displays, LED screens, surveillance equipment, and mobile TV. GAGOC Deputy Secretary-General and Guangzhou Vice Mayor Xu Ruisheng, Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Director General Husain Al-Musallam, and TCL Chief Operating Officer Bo Lianming attended the contract signing ceremony along with roughly 300 guests and journalists. In return for sponsoring the Games with funds, technologies, and services, TCL will enjoy advertising rights exclusive to an Asian Games partner. |
